Alexandros Kitriniaris is a registered architect engineer with a MArchEng degree from the National Technical University of Athens, ranked among the top graduates (9.54/10.00). He earned an additional MScRes degree with honors from the same University (9.94/10.00), a Master in Mass Timber Design (MMTD) from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia accredited by School of Professional and Executive Development at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia – European Higher Education Area (EHEA) (9.50/10.00) and a Master in Landscape Architecture & Forest Management from the Agricultural University of Athens (9.92/10.00). He is a teaching assistant at architectural design studios, a PhD researcher and a scholarship awardee, investigating the link between architecture, material ecology, timber engineering, forest management, embodied energy, environmental performance, cradle to cradle regenerative design (C2C), life cycle assessment (LCA) and design for manufacture and disassembly (DfMD) through leading bio-technological advances to ensure an enduring positive impact on communities and on the environment.
During his academic activity, he has received 14 honorary awards and scholarships, including a silver medal with the emblem of Prometheus Torchbearer. He frequently participates in research projects and international workshops including the Architecture Association in London and the ETH in Zurich, and has lectured on his area of specialization at Wien University in Austria, Adeit University in Spain, Leibniz University in Germany, as well as Naples University and Siena University in Italy, among others.
His work has received numerous awards in international architecture competitions, has been published in international architecture magazines, and has been exhibited at architecture events including the 1st Architecture Biennale of Thessaloniki, the 8th Architecture Exhibition in Patras, the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th & 11th Biennale of Greek Architects in Athens, the Museum of Design Exhibition in Como, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York City, the Utopa International Design Exhibition in China, the Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt, the European Cultural Center Exhibition at the Schusev Museum in Moscow and the 25th International Union of Architects Exhibition in Durban, South Africa. 
He has received the "European 40 under 40 Award" and has been distinguished among the most promising and emerging architects and design talents in Europe for 2017-2018, as announced by the European Center for the Architecture, Art and Urban Studies and the Museum of Architecture and Design of Chicago Athenaeum.
